At it again

Jeannie has been busy again creating a darling hat. This would be cute for girls too, but here's Shawn modeling the finished product. It is black, gray, and cream.

New Hats & Bows

I (Jeannie) found this hat pattern in the 4-H booklet from when you were the 7 crocheting crochet. I love how it turned out. The brown bow is the moss rose pattern made with cotton yarn.

The red bow is the Rosies with a leave. I made the bows so Heather can change them to match her outfit.

The tan flower is an Azalea made with extra heavy knit crochet cotton.

Success!

Emily and Ananda working on their hats.Trisha, Jeannie and LisaMarian and Trisha
Jana's completed project modeled on Shawn. Looks really cute on Kate with a bow clipped on. These hats are rather simple and very versatile. It was nice to actually finish a project during Klub instead of having to take it home. (FYI: the Cotton Ease is a really good looking, soft thread. Emily used it for Annie's gray hat.) Thanks Jeannie, you are a fabulous teacher!

Crochet Hats

Jeannie made a bunch of samples so you can decide what you want to make. She just used scrap yarn she had at home. Jeannie has a lot of white and cream yarn if you just want to do your first one with scraps and buy later. We think these would be really cute with cotton (like Sugar 'n Cream).Material: DMC crochet cotton #10

Scripture Power!

We had Klub on the 4th of August. I'm a long time in posting because I was going to put some instructions up too. Well, I'm not so good about that, so here are some fun pictures of the day and our really cute scripture covers. Heather has one too; I didn't get a picture of it though.
{Jana and Trisha}
Now we've got the cutest scriptures around. Who wouldn't want one of these to flaunt? Might be a great missionary tool.
{Trisha, Caleb, Jeannie, Emily}
Oh the joys of children and all involved with diaper changing! If you can see, check out Trisha's pant leg, and you can then guess what Emily just so happened to step in.

Hats

I want to learn how to make hats like these. Does anyone know how? Is anyone else interested in making some of these?

Eyelash Extensions

This post made me laugh because of the reminder of Women's Conference last year:

Maybe we should all buy our own package of eye lashes, get together for Klub, and make ourselves beautiful again. It might be impossible with children running around though?

Freezer Meal Swap

{Nate, Kate, Jeannie, Trisha, Shawn, Sariah, Katie, Erika, Emily, Annie, Jana, Andrew, Marian}
Yesterday we had a Freezer Meal Klub. We each made 6 freezer meals and then brought them and exchanged. I'm very excited to have this convenience, and hope that everyone else enjoys their meals. Here's what we swapped:
Bean Burritos
Manicotti
Chicken Broccoli Casserole
Cream Cheese/Italian Chicken
Chicken Enchiladas
Meat Mix (for sloppy joes, etc)
